‘Me and my child… really enjoyed it, it's really helped her confidence and her speaking… it made her make new friends and helped her imagination. Thank you very very much.’’
The workshops, which are supported by Hackney Homes and Hackney Council will tour five libraries in Hackney over the remainder of the year. The sessions, which run in 5 week blocks of morning and afternoon workshops, will be based in Homerton, Clapton and Shoreditch libraries throughout June and July. The programme will continue in Hackney Central and Dalston CLR James libraries from October through to December.
The workshops are only open to families who live in a Hackney Homes residence, with some spaces allocated to children who have speech and language needs.
On the theme of ‘Animal Safari’ children will explore the creatures of the African savannah, through storytelling, arts and crafts, music, movement and parachute play! A beautifully designed booklet is presented to participants to accompany the activities, and if families come to all five sessions, they receive a goody bag!
Due to popularity of the sessions, booking will be essential – so to reserve a place please contact Artburst by e mail: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone/text 07435 788190. For more info please visit the Artburst website www.artburst.co.uk .
