Hackney Council are currently recruiting for an additional 7 residents who have a passion for improving the communities they live in and to sit on The Resident Liaison Group which has direct influence on how housing services provided by the Council are run and delivered.
The role, in the Resident Liaison Group (RLG), means residents will get to make a real impact on council housing, estates and neighbourhoods by monitoring, evaluating, idea-sharing, and looking critically at what the Council is doing or proposing to do on all services affecting tenants and leaseholders. As part of this group, which is the highest level of resident involvement, residents will look at the performance and policies of housing services and work directly with the Housing Director and the Cabinet Member for Housing Services to influence change and help drive improvements. This is a real opportunity to get involved and share your ideas, so if interested please find out more and sign up here. Alden and Broadway TRA are based just off Broadway Market. When they have events and activities then as well as posters in noticeboards, and flyers to residents, they use their blog to promote what they are up to. To find out more visit the Alden and Broadway TRA website. And if you want support to get online then email us at get.involved@hackney.gov.uk - we can provide you with a webpage and training to use it.
