On Monday November 26 from 7-9pm residents and businesses can ask Mayor Philip Glanville about issues that matter to them, as well as offer their ideas and aspirations for the borough, at the second annual Hackney Mayor’s Question Time.
Joining the Mayor will be Dr Melissa Butcher - long-term Hackney resident and lecturer at Birkbeck University, where she researches how cities change and the impact on communities. She writes regularly on issues relating to gentrification, diversity and social cohesion, and has been working with young people in Hackney to create films and reports as part of the Creating Hackney as Home project.
This is a really good opportunity to highlight any concerns you might have and bring them to the Mayors attention. Please join the conversation on how to improve Hackney on Monday 26 November. The event will take place in the Town Hall.
The annual winter warmer this year is taking place on Tuesday 27 November in the Assembly Hall in Hackney Town Hall.
The event is designed for residents over 50 and is an opportunity for local residents to socialise with neighbours, share ideas and find out more about various services that Hackney offer.
